I had tried to set up some Outlook contact folders in a hierarchy... ie WORK,
with other folders under that that had company names, another for vendor
contacts, etc.
When I created the new folders, they appeared in the contacts folder pane as
seperate folders and did not look like they were sub folders... anyway, I
deleted one of the higher level contact folders thinking it was empty but it
also deleted the sub folders at the same time.
can I undelete the contact folders I did not want deleted?
thanx

They should all still be in your Deleted Items folder if you haven't emptied it. Switch to the Folder List navigation pane and take a look.

Correct. The Contacts view of the Navigation Pane will show all Contacts
folders on the same level despite the hierarchy. Only the Folder List view
will show them as subfolders.

Open Deleted Items and drag them back to your folder list.
