MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / October 2006"categories" does not display in a new contact item
Using Outlook 2003, I am trying to assign a category to a new contact item. The help menu says to click on "Categories" in the new item drop-down box. The problem is there is no "Categories" displayed in the new item drop-down box. Obviously, I can create the item, then highlight it in contact view, and then add the category. This is just one extra step. I would like to add the category at the beginning when I have the new item box open. Anybody have any ideas? I'm not clear on what you mean by "the new item box." Are you entering new contacts through the folder view or the contact form?
