I have outlook 2003 and never worked with outlook before.
I have created another outlook profile (Call it profile #2) and wish to
import or copy contacts from profile #1.
In profile #1 I have my personal contacts (Call it Contacts #1) and another
set of contacts (Call it contacts #2). In Outlook "copy Folder" window,
contacts #2 is in sub folder to contact #1. Somehow this list of contacts
ended up as a sub folder!
how do I transfer contacts #2 from profile #1 to profile #2. after I
transfer contacts #2 from profile #1 to profile #2, I will delete contacts #2
from profile #1. I want contacts #2 to be the only set of contacts (default)
in profile #2

Do you actually mean "profile" (created using Control Panel>Mail>Show
Profiles>Add) or do you really mean "Personal Folders file" (Created in
Outlook with File>New>Outlook Data File)? I suspect the latter. What I am
about to type assumes that. If you actually mean mail profile, post back.

Open each personal folder file in Outlook (File>Open>Outlook Data File).
The open the Contacts folder containing the data you wish to copy. Select
all the entries with CTRL-A and click Edit>Copy to Folder. Specify the
correct Contacts folder as the destination. Click OK. All done.

Hello Ron,
start outlook with profile #2 and then open the pst-file from profile
#1 ("File", "Open", "Outlook-Datafile"). Move per drag & drop your
contact subfolder and then close the file from profile #1.
The pst-files you found in your userprofile. Please search for them by
activated option "Show hidden files and folders".
Perhaps a better way for you could be to work not with different
profiles but with categories. That would be easier because you do not
have to change profiles.
