recover contacts

I had to reinstall windows and i lost my address book but i used a a program
to recover the addresss book now I have about 5 address book icons with
different dates and sizes how to I get them to restore when I click on them
the address book opens but its empty  i have also recovered personal folders
with the pst file extension but when i open them nothing happens and archive
pst files and outlook pst files I dont know how to resotre them to OUTLOOK
I am using 2003

Outlook 2003 does not use an address book.  It uses the Contacts folder in
the PST, with a service called the Outlook Address Book showing you a view
of the contacts in the Contact folder.
