Contacts Keep Disappearing

I am having a problem with my Contacts appearing in my address book.  I'm
using Outlook 2002.  I've gone though the "Tools, Email Accounts" steps and
my Contacts were added to the address book and I was able to send emails to
Contacts through the address book.  Then I went to send an email trying to
use Contacts in my address book about a week later, and that option was gone.
It's really becoming a time waster having to keep adding the Contacts to my
address book every once in a while.  Are there any solutions?

I'd start with a new mail profile.
