Selecting contacts for new mail result in a ; in the To: No Name

Hi a user claims that the contacts list in personal folders when  selecting a
contact results in a ; in the To: field but no name.

She is running Office XP (Outlook 2002)  (10.6516.6817) SP3  not on Exchange
Server  

"It always worked before she went on vacation"
Call to me started with autocomplete problem and I renamed her .NK2 file but
the address book /contact is weird. I opened Properties on my contact name
and SMTP was greyed out in properties of email address.  I  reselected SMTP
but it doesn't allow selecting OK.
Now my name works and auto complete too but not anybody else.

There is more to this story than you've told us.
