How to stop a contact autocompleting in the Outlook Address bar

I have two similar distribution lists in my Contacts list, called Temporary
closurse and Temporary Closure Notices.  The latter got deleted from my
contacts accidentally so the former was created to replace it.

Despite the fact that one of the Distribution lists no longer exists, I find
that whenever I complete an address by typing 'tempora....' and so on,
Outlook completes the name which is alway the wrong one.  It can of course
display a list of these contacts and it shows both 'Temporary...'
distribution lists.

Is it possible to make Outlook 'unlearn' the superflous distribution group?

Aloha Hoof,

Yes.  Start a new mail message.  In the TO field type "tempora" and when
the wrong one appears on the autocomplete list use your arrow keys (not the
mouse) to highlight that item and then press DELETE.
