we have an exchange 2000 server and most of our users have outlook 2000, a
few have 2003.

I created a public folder with contacts from outside the company, but it is
not sorted the way we would like.

I can go in and change their "full name" or "display as" but whenever I go
to outlook to create a new email and select that public folder contact list
the sort order never changes for these contacts.

how can I make this sort by lastname then firstname?

oh, never mind.
it works the same way as any other address book, just thought it was
different because it was in a public folder.

I guess I have to go to each individuals PC to change this setting though.
probably need the exercise anyway.
