Duplicates formed synchronisation in Active Sync

I am using Active Sync to synchronise my contacts with Pocket PC.Every time
perform this synchronisation duplicate contacts are formed in Outlook
2003.what action can be taken to prevent this

This is totally an Outlook issue!!  What else do we use AS for??  Anyway, be
sure that you're using the most recent version of AS; it should tell you of
duplicates and ask if you want to delete them.  Also, have you tried deleting
the duplicates manually??  Do they just "re-duplicate" upon another sync??
