my emails get sent to addresses they are not intended for

i use microsoft outlook for sending and receiving emails. when i send emails
they get sent to addresses in my contact folder for which they are not
intended for. i have scanned my system for viruses, no viruses have been
detected.

Sounds like end user error. Outlook does not go around randomly changing
your recipient addresses. You've provided no troubleshooting information.

Thanks. This is not an end user error as this is not an isolated instance.
What kind of troubleshooting information is needed.

Precise steps used to select recipient.
Precise steps used to send message.
Transport type.
Proof that Outlook sends to an address other than the one you specified.
