Invalid addresses

I recently changed to Outlook from OE and keep having extinct addresses show
up on the Auto-fill list when I address an email.  These addresses do not
exist in my contacts list and, as a matter of fact, were deleted from the OE
address book before it was transferred.  Where do they come from, and how can
I delete them permanently?

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field.
