I want to change the colour of messages from certain contacts so that they
are easily indentified when I check my inbox.

EG: the Name, subject, time & size are displayed in red insted of black
coloured text.

Click the Inbox, then Tools | Organise | using colours.

Now select an email from a person, pick a colour and click Apply.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
