I have 25 distribution lists with 50 email addresses in each one.  I need to
delete some from time to time & have been told by MS that I cannot do this
easily, only by exporting the list to excel, that does not seem to be the
answer or by going manually thru each group and deleting them - too time
consuming? HELP!

Why is it difficult to open the lists and delete those entries you don't
need any more?  Nonetheless, the two methods you describe are the best for
DLs.  This is one of the reasons many people don't use DLs.  Instead,
categories would be easier.  Then there's only a single contact, even if the
contact is in multiple categories and deleting that single contact is all
that's required.
