I have a couple folders for contacts - when I recieve a mail from a contact,
I like to use 'look up outlook contact' with a simple right click on the name
to get tel # etc. For certain contacts I get 'could not find a contact with
this e-mail' It says it's because it not part of my local contacts list. How
do I change this without duplicating the contact info?
Thanks.

You have provided no information. Provide your Outlook version, information
store,  and the evidence that the message you are getting is incorrect.
State how you have configured your Outlook Address Book Service to include
all your Contact Folders.
