So you're saying that all distribution lists from our GAL that I need
to expand need to *also* reside in my contacts? That doesn't seem
right...
I just tested with a distribution list that I created. It is in my
contacts. It is not in the GAL. It does *not* have a plus sign next
to it.
I got a new PC and had to reload everything. I'm wondering if I had
loaded an extra set of "tricks" or something to have this on my old
PC...
Outlook 2003, sp1, XP Pro, sp1. I know there are newer service packs
of Outlook, but I haven't had a chance to really dig for them. I
didn't find them in a quick search of MS web site...
Thanks,
Cappy

No need to "dig" for anything. http://update.microsoft.com/

If I add a DL from our GAL to a recipient field in a new message window, It
has a plus to its left.

If you would, please describe the EXACT steps you took to create the DL and
then exactly how you added it to a new message recipient field. Perhaps
something along the way will ring a bell.
