Using Outlook 2003 Contacts. All telephone numbers, voice and fax, were
entered without a 1 or +1. I also use the built in Windows Fax program. Is
there a way to add this 1 or +1 to all area codes, other then my own, in
order to send a fax? I was told I had to manually add this prefix to each
and every fax number in my contacts. No one has been able to provide a
simpler way. I have not, up to this point, used my computer to make phone
calls.

There is no setting you can make that will add the country code to existing
records. only new ones. There are several ways to globally change existing
Contact records.
