I am trying to create a distribution list, but when I click on 'Select
Members', I get the message, "The address list could not be displayed.  The
Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may
have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions.  For information
on how to remove this folder from the OUtlook Address Book, see Microsoft
Outlook Help."
Now, I recently had to back up my pst file, but I have found a thread on
here that says that the way that I did it was incorrect; I exported the file,
then when I got my other computer set up, I simply moved the file into the
folder where it belongs and overwrote the default file.  What do I need to do
to be able to use my current contacts in a distribution list??
Thanks in advance.

As a matter of fact, I just realized that I can't even use my contacts in a
normal email.  When I click on 'To', I get the same message.  I don't get it;
I followed the instructions properly as to how to back up and restore a pst
file...

Version required for most questions please!!

Right click the Contacts Folder | Properties | Address Book | click the
button to show it as an address book.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we
can find information on it.
