MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / January 2007Need to create contacts from distribution list
Hi: Someone set up a distribution list that is simply a list of emails that were typed in manually, as opposed to contacts that were entered and then selected to form a distribution list. Is there a way to transfer those names & email addresses back into contacts without manually retyping? Hope so! Save the DL as a .txt file. Open it in Notepad. Delete the name info at the top so that all you have is the list. Save it. Import it into Outlook as a tab-delimited file.
