I'm running Outlook 2003 and have been for a couple of years, in the
past week or so I have noticed that whenever I add a phone number to a
contact the + symbol is being removed from my phone numbers. I have
always added all phone numbers in full international format (e.g. +44
1753 727222) so that they can be dialled from my various mobile phones.

Question is what have I done to Outlook to make it start removing the +
symbol from the start of the phone numbers and how do I change it back.
I don't use the Outlook dialler. What have I done it is driving me
nuts?!

Make sure you check "Automatically add country code to local phone numbers"
under "Dialing Options".
