MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / February 2007Contact List for WORD
I had to reinstall MS Office Premium 2000. When I went to print an envelop in WORD, there was no contact list to choose the info from. In WORD, I went to Tools > Envelopes and Labels, clicked on the contact icon and started going through the process of setting up WORD to know where to pull the contact list from. Unfortunately, I did something wrong and now there is nothing to choose from. How do I correct this and tell WORD to use the Contact list from Outlook? Thanks, Les All you need to do is configure your Outlook Address Book correctly. Method depends on your version, which you did not post accurately enough. I say workgroup only because if I click on Control Panel > System > Computer Name, the "Workgroup" is WORKGROUP. I use to be able to pull of the Outlook Contact list via WORD's feature that allows you to print envelopes and labels. Hope that helped. Outlook must have a mail transport installed because you need it's MAPI services to provide the address book to Word. Outlook must be your default mail program for its address book services to integrate with Word. No. You don't have to use Outlook for email, but you must at least have a mail account installed. "No mail" mode was very briefly on the scene years ago. Almost no one used it and it is long defunct.
