I attempted to export the email addresses from my contacts file to a CSV
file from my OL2000.  The file came out in an unusable format of the "email
address SMTP email address"   How do I just export the email address only
with the SMTP .

Describe the exact steps.

Unusable by what application?

You could always modify the CVS file using Excel to remove the columns you
find extraneous.

Hello Brian,

     worth@lineone.net

      SMTP

     worth@lineone.net

This is an example of the output.  I just want a single email not the email
address twice including SMTP.
I am trying to create a list of 400 plus emails so going through each one
and deleting the extra data will take too long.

The steps I take are:Import/Export>Export to file>CSV
(Windows).>Contacts>Save Exported file as>Map custom fields (I select email
address only)

I them get the sample above.  I have not previously had this problem and
usually just get a list of email addresses.

Ignore the underlining that does not happen on exporting.

Are you sure you chose "E-mail Adress" or simply "E-mail".  The field
"E-mail" should have a plus sign to its left allowing you to expand it.
Under there will be "E-mail Address", "E-mail Type", and "E-mail Display
Name".  Dragging "E-mail" to the custom map will produce what you see.
However, expanding "E-mail" and dragging only "E-mail Address" should
produce what you want.  I tried it.
