I have Office Student and teacher edition 2003.  When I try to create a new
contacts folder, I get the message, "Unable to create the folder.  You cannot
create subfolders in a mailbox for a Web-based account."

What does this mean and what am I doing wrong?

It appears to mean that you're using Hotmail for your mailbox and Hotmail
doesn't support subfolders.
