I took over a client and the previous IT had no disaster recovery plan or
backups.

Their OS became corrupt before I even got a chance to backup AD.

I had to rebulind the server from scratch and of course all clients had to
be demoted from the old domain and added to the new.

Because they had all their contacts in outlook and the old AD is not present
to check the credentials I could not restore the mailbox backups.

My client is desperate to recover it's contatcs.

Does any one knows a way to recover the contacts from the .ost and .pst
files that are still presend on the HDD in the hidden folders inside
documents and settings from the old domain user profiles?

I'll apreciate any help.

Tnx.

Got it. Just need to go on Outlook  File>Open>Outlook Data File. Navigate to
the .pst backed up file and open it.

It will open a new public folder then you can just move the contacts and
mails to your inbox.

Sry for the double post, feel free to remove it.

Thanks.
