Outlook 2000 Contacts overwritten by Hotsync with Palm Handheld.  Operation
was set to synchronize but overwrote instead.  Is there an automatic backup
file for Contacts that can be used to restore them?

No. You'll have to restore from one of the backups you made.

Hi , i dont know if i lost my contacts but whenever i click on the address
icon on my outlook to retrieve my contacts. I kept on getting the error - "
The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with
this address list could not be opened. It may have been moved or deleted, or
you do not have permission. For information on how to remove this folder from
the outlook  address book, see microsoft office outlook HELP. " Anyway i did
that and it didnt help at all.

I really appreciate if someone could assist me with this as its been very
much frustrating not to be able to use my address book.

Thank you

You simply need to configure your Outlook Address Book, and the method
depends on your version, which you failed to post. Read the KB and find an
article that matches your version:

No. That's what the original poster said. Notice that I was not replying to
the original poster but to someone else who had entered the thread.

Oh.  I missed that "little" distinction.
