I deleted a contact folder. However, when I click on the address icon in an
email message To section, Outlook says that the deleted contact folder is
missing. It even displays the folder's name in the drop-down list! How do I
clear the deleted folder name from the address book dialog?
Hi Elliot,
your Outlook version is?
If you use Outlook till 2003, you only have to delete your Outlook
Addressbook and then add it again:
How to add and delete an Outlook Addressbook for Outlok till 2003:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;287563&Product=ol2002
For Outlook 2007 you have to create a new Outlook profile under "Control
Panel/Mail/Show Profils".

Most of the time, users can simply remove the old reference to a Contact
Folder here: Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories
or address books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
