I am using Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager.  I am not connected
with an Exchange Server.

The box "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is dimmed for both my
Contacts and Business Contacts folders.

Tools>Account Settings>Address Books show only 1 Outlook Address Book (type
MAPI).  When I click "New...", click "Additional Address Books", I see two
options:  Mobile Address Book and Outlook Address Book.  Choosing either
makes no difference.

Tools>Account Settings>Address Books -- When I click "Change...", The list
is empty of Outlook Address Books.  It says "To designate a Contacts folder
as an Outlook Address Book...select the 'show this folder as an e-mail
address book' check box", which leads me to my original question.  What to do
if this check box is dimmed.

Any help?

one other note:  I am using Vista, and used the Transfer files and settings
to get my files into my e-mail from Windows XP (Outlook 2007).

I had the same issue.  The default profile had apparently gotten corrupted,
and I used the file transfer from XP as you did.
I started a new profile, deleted the default profile and all was right.

Is there an easy way to transfer all of my stuff to a new profile?
