Is there a way to change the birthday reminder in Outlook 2003
that is added to my calendar by default? I wanna that all birthday reminder
start at 8:00am and not at 12:00pm, but I don't want to change um by one
every time that I add a new contact.

Default reminder times for appointments/events always correspond to the value
you have set in the "Start Time" field in Tools | Options | Preferences tab |
Calendar Options | Calendar work week section.  So, if you have the start
time set to 8:00 AM, the default reminder time for new appointments/events
will be 8:00 AM.

Won't Outlook add Contact birthdays as all day events with default 18 hour
reminders?

It should, yeah...but the OP is saying his are showing up with reminders at
12 noon, so I don't know what's going on.  Maybe he will give us more info.

I believe the OP is saying that the birthday reminders are showing up at
midnight (not at 12 noon). At least that is a problem that I have. I am
using Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync with Exchange Server 2003, and all my
reminders are automatically synchronized with my phone. It is quite annoying
to wake up to a beeping reminder at 11:45 pm (15 minutes before midnight)
every day somebody has a birthday. I have set the "Start Time" field in
Tools | Options | Preferences tab | Calendar Options | Calendar work week
section, to 8:00 AM, but the birthday reminder still woke me up at 11:45
last night. It is quite frustrating.

Why not open the event and remove the reminder or change it to a convenient
time?  By default, all-day event reminders are set to "18 hours" and you
can't change that.

Birthdays in Outlook
Hi Jocelyn

I have a similar challenge. When I add a birthday in Outlook 2007 under the
Details then Birthday section it adds it as an all day event, with a default
reminder of 15 minutes. So if someones birthday is 4 June, on the 3rd of
June at 11.45pm I will be reminded.

Is there a way to set a default reminder time of 12 hours for birthdays or
have birthdays only remind you at 8am.

Thanks
Michael
