Name entry error

When I type in the contact "Full Name" entry area my First Name, Middle and
Last names are entered correctly.  However, on the contacts listing the First
name is appearing as the Last and the Last is appearing as the first.  The
sorting of my contacts are therefore by the first names instead of the last.

I'm sure there is a simple fix but I can't find it in the help files

You need to clarify what you mean by "contacts listing." There are countless
views to which that could be referring. Include your Outlook version as well
and how you configured the view to which you are referring.
