Running Outlook 3k.
I do know how to create email templates.

Can OL3k "merge" a greeting field (similar to Word) such that I could
send out 30 emails with different names after "Dear" in the beginning
of the letter?

One of my bosses says a former company he worked for did this.  He
could be mistaken ;)
