outlook 2003 and Distribution Lists

I am trying to email distribution lists to myself from an old laptop to a new
laptop to save having to set them up again and Outlook always puts the
distribution list as an attachment that I can't open when I send it.

You must insert the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF message to send it via
email.
