My deafult Contacts folder has a lot of records which is realyl slowing down
my PDA.
I exported all the contacts to a spread sheet, removed duplicate and
unwanted contacts, and imported the shorter list to a new contacts folder
)called contacts-new)
but now I cannot delete the original default contacts folder and my PDA is
still syncing with the old larger folder.
I would appreciate any help.

If you no longer need the items in the larger default folder, simply select all and delete. Then copy your contacts from your newcontact folder to the default.
