I'd like to send group email distributions showing names of members who also
received the email, but maintaining member privacy by hiding email addresses.

Members external to my organisation may not want their private email address
broadcasted, but it is useful for recipients to be able to see who else the
email was delivered to.

I doubt there's any way to do that with the recipient fields, as those are
designed to send mail addresses, but if you copy the recipient list (which
should be displaying the "Display As" value for the contacts) to the body of
the message, the recipients won't be able to see the addresses there, only
the Display As names.  Use the Bcc field, then, for the recipient list.
