Hi  I teach a MOS Outlook 2003 class and one of my students this evening had
an interesting question and for the first time that I can remember I could
not answer so I said I would find out for her for next class.  I showed how
to set up a PDL and custom address.  She said in her job when she goes to
Address Book and clicks on Show names from the .... dropdown list, Contacts
is coming up 3 times and there are different people stored in the different
Contacts?  I have only ever seen 1 Contacts come up.. How can this happen?

Many thanks

She could have 3 subfolders, each named Contacts, all exposed in the address book.

You've posted the same question three times.
I'm surprised you've never seen this. It is very common. I've posted the
answer to this question on an almost daily basis here for years. So have
many others. You could have just read this group instead of posting three
more questions.
The Outlook Address Book frequently retains old or outdated references to
Contacts Folders. You can easily remove them here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change… >

Many thanks Russ but as I explained to Brian who very kindly answered my
question, when I was posting the question, an unknown error appeared on my
screen and the message was 'Try again later - unable to post'  So I did not
intentionally post a message more that once - nor would I ever do this.
Everyone on the site is so helpful that I would patiently wait for an answer.
I also did a search of the Threads but did not know what heading to use or
what exactly to search for.

Many thanks for your help
