How do you backup Business Contacts and Business Accounts?
Is there a way to automate this.
What are the data files called, where are they and can they be moved?

Thanks,

Peter

You can use the File | Import and Export | Business Contact Manager command.

Thanks Sue,

My understanding is that Business Contact Manager Import/Export backs up
Business contacts and Business Accounts, but does not backup histories.

Is there a way to backup histories?

I take it I have also to backup .pst files for regular contacts, tasks,
calendar and notes separately?

Is there one seamless method to backup *all* aspects of Outlook *and* BCM so
that one can have confidence that when it is later restored it will behave
identically to the original?

Seems like this should be a no-brainer now that BCM is based on SQL.

Thanks,

Peter

Doh! I just played around and found the File | Business Database | Backup command! I don't understand, though, what the dialog is aiming at when it says "To back up all your linked items, make sure you also back up your Outlook data files." I'll dig and post something at http://www.slipstick.com/bcm/bcmfaq_more.aspx?id=49 when I find out.

Thank you,

A *complete backup solution* might be a niche for some astute developer.
