the When I type first few letters of email address in the to: field, Outlook
appears to resolve it using all addresses that I've ever used, instead of
using my various addressbooks. (Where does it find this list of addresses?
How does it access i t?)

And how do I force Outlook to use my addressbooks for email resolution?

Many thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

You are confusing autocompletion with autoresolution. Two completely
different features.
