After toasting my h/d, I had almost all of my old info and programs restored
to my new h/d. Although all of my contacts appear in the folder, when I
attempt to access them to insert them into a REPLY message, an alert pops up
and says that the folder has been moved or deleted. What am i doing wrong?

Rather hard to say, since we have no idea what you did. Seems to me you
should start by configuring your Outlook Address Book Service.
