I exported my addresses from word perfect to MS word. In the process it
sdaid that it would export to outlook 97/98 personal floders Contacts. When
I go to evvelopes & Labels in MS woprd, the addresses are not compolete, some
just have name etc. I repeated 3 times so now I have the damn things in
thr=ere 3 times lol. I want to delete the contact list and start over.

Word has no address book of its own. So you cannot export to Word. You can
only export to Outlook. Is that what you did? If so, you need to state
precisely what you did, what happened, and what you see in Outlook. Are we
to assume that you have a valid, functioning Outlook profile that is set as
your default mail program and Contacts manager? You must if you want to use
these Contacts in Word.

Yes, that's what I did. From word perfect I went to envelopes, addresses,
file, export. It said export to outlook 97/98/2000 XP. Export from
CorielCenteral (addresses), export to Personal folders, Contacts. Then it
said to match address book fields to export fields and add. I did that but
the addresses are incomplete. I tried it again and again and endeded up with
the names in the contact field listed 3 times. some of the names had numbers
and some had addresses, I have a mess so I want to delete the list I exported
to CONTACTS and start over.

Start by answering the rest of my questions. Explain why you think this is
an Outlook issue when you are exporting from Corel.

I didn't say it was an outlook issue, I said I exported from Coriel to
outlook and want to know how to delete the addresses from "CONTACTS" in
outlook, the place I exported to.

Starting over is quite easy. Open your Contacts folder, press CTRL-A to
select all your Contacts, and press Delete to delete them all. You'll have
an empty Contacts folder then.

My problem is I don't know how to get to the contacts folder. Please give me
detailed instructions on how to get and open the contacts folder. I guess
you've figured out by now that I'm a dummy.

Did you already have Outlook configured with an active profile before you
did this export? If so, what version?
Can't you just open Outlook? You can't miss the Contacts Folder when you do.

I have outlook express 6.0 No I did not configure a profile before I
exported. When I go to Outlook Express, all I see is my mail related files,
I don't see a contact folder. I'm about to give up on this.

Could you please start at the beginning with an accurate description of what
you did? You still haven't posed a valid question for us. Outlook Express
has nothing to do with Outlook. We know nothing about Corel, but I doubt
Corel would export to Outlook Express since it also uses MAPI, which OE does
not support. It said it was exporting to Outlook, right? If so, then you
must have Outlook running somewhere. If you don't know that much, then I
don't see how we can help you.
