MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / April 2007how to delete a contacts subfolder
I have several contacts lists, like personal, business, etc. So I made some subfolders with this lists. I want to delete them but I just can't. I my navigation pane they are under Contacts but if I try to click on them or just put the mouse on any of the subfolders nothing happens, actually I can't even select or click at them. Is like if they don't exist but they are there in my Contacts. Please help! Thanks I need to know what you are looking at that makes you think you have sub-folders. In the Navigation Pain - that's the left side section of Outlook, select the Folder List. You will now see all of your Outlook folders in their true folder tree - the subfolders will show (if you have any). Right click to delete them. If you don't see any sub-folders, come back with a good description of what you are seeing and where you are looking when you see it. Your version may also be a big help! Thanks Thanks Judy I have Outlook 2003 SP2 In my navigation pane I have several options to view, so I have Calendar, Contacts, Mail and Folder list. When I click "Contacts" I got a list of the "lets call them subfolders" or different contacts lists that I did with different names, such as businesses, personal, etc. Although I deleted all my lists and I just left the personal list, all the others are still there, but just the names when I open the contacts tab. I am usung Outlook 2003 SP2 In my navegation pane, when I hit the contacts tab appear a list of the different "subfolders"? that I did, for example, I did a contact list of my business records and I called it businesses. The same I did with my perosnal contacts that I put my family and friends and I called it personal, and so on. So I had about sevenb different lists. Although I deleted all of them and left only one, all they appear under contacts. However, if I go to Folder List they are not there. If I try to click in any of them when the contacts list are display, the cursor doesn't even go, so I do not have any possibility to right click or nothing, is like if they don't exist but they are there. Thanks what do you see in Folder List? Have you made Views of the Contacts folder?
