In previous edition of Outlook the CONTACTS field was on the default page 1
of the default contacts form.  About 7 years ago I took an Outlook class and
the instructor didn't know how to use that field so I am not surprised users
may not have known how to use this incredible field.  I can find it clicking
ALL FIELDS but I want it on the main contact form.  I know how to create
custom forms and when I have created a new contact from a custom form screen
the CONTACTS field  is still there.  I have only had office 2007 for about a
month and am spending about 30 min a day going thru the tutorials so maybe
I'll eventually discover a better way to access this super field that to me
is now almost hidden.  I could copy this new cool default form and then
always create new contacts in my copied form but contacts I create from email
ADD TO OUTLOOK CONTACTS would surface in the default form and I would have to
copy paste the info to my form.  I'd never remember to do that.

In Outlook 2007, the Contacts box for linking items to contacts does not appear by default. You will need to turn it on -- Tools | Options | Contact Options | Show Contact Linking on All Forms.
