Show contact folder as an email address book

Using Outlook 2000.  Missing Contacts in drop down menu in e-mail address
book.  I went into properties for Contact folder, went to Outlook Address
Book, and the box is greyed out and cannot be checked.

Which mode of OL2000 are you using? Check the second line here: Help menu >

If it's Corporate/Workgroup mode, try adding the Outlook Address Book
service here: Tools menu > Services
