I want to view my contacts by category and I have selected the category of
each contact, but for some reason it only arranges it in a list when I click
on view by category. Help pls.

Hi there

As you haven't mentioned your version I will provide a solution that works
for ALL versions.  How to post questions:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=555375

Turn on the Advanced Toolbar (View | Toolbars)
Use the Current View Window to change to the By Category View.
They will all be in the Group "None" untill you open each Contact and Select
a Category for each of them.

If they are still not grouped, use the Group By Box (it's beside the Current
View window) aand drag the column header "Categories" into the group by box.
More about that here: http://judygleeson.com/sorting_grouping.aspx

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

I'll interpret your question a little differently than how Judy did.  The By
Category view is strictly a table view.  You cannot group by category in the
Address Card view.
