When I imported my contacts from Outlook Express 6 all the phone numbers that
didn't have area codes assigned were given the 510 Area Code.  Is there any
way to change the default to something else?

Outlook uses whatever you set as the default dialing location for your
operating system. There are utilities that will help you change the area
codes for existing Contacts:

That's it!  Thx.  I use DSL and haven't used dial up in years.  So I didn't
think to look at the phone settings.
