have you tried HELP in outlook possibly? Did you do ANY research AT ALL
before posting?
In Outlook, go to Contacts, click on the arrow to the right of NEW and
choose Distribution List.

Sorry I wasn't more specific you arrogant schmuck. I know how to make a
distribution list, I was attempting to make a Contact grouping that I could
transfer to my iphone as a "group."

Then why didn't you SAY so?  We're not clairvoyant or psychic here you
know....

I said I was sorry. Just because you are neither clairvoyant not psychic, is
no reason to be obnoxious.

Outlook has no construct called a Contacts Group.  You can create multiple
contacts folders and collect related contacts within those folders.  Most
sync tools, however, won't sync any but the default Contacts folder.
Whether yours will or not should be stated in its documentation.  Keep in
mind that Outlook does not control any part of the sync process.  It's
completely up to the sync software you use.
