I am an IT specialist and a long time user of Outllook. I have read
various posts about the problem of not being able to add a contact
folder as Outlook Address Book. I use Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2003.
THis worked fine on one laptop running Vista Business. When I migrated
to another Laptop running Vista Business Edition, I moved all my files
and settings using Microsoft Vista Easy transfer tool.

On the new laptop, I cannot add a contact folder as address book. I
see the Outlook Address Book (MAPI) installed in Tools/Account
Settings/Address Books

I cannot delete this entry nor add it again.

So how do I repair this situatiion?

Thanks for your guidance.

You can try creating a fresh profile in the Control Panel's Mail applet

We do not recommend using WET with Outlook for this and other reasons.
