When you created the new profile, did you give it a unique name? How did you
migrate your Data file to the new profile? Are you saying that the profile
contains the Outlook Address Book in Tools > Account Settings > Address Book
and yet the properties for your default Contacts Folder do not allow you to
select it as an electronic address book?

Yes gave it a unique name.
migrated data using mail setup in control panel, account settings, data
files by browsing to the folder containing my outlook.pst (size 1,6 GB) file
and then restarted outlook.
I have also tried creating the data file from scratch in a new profile from
my exchange server but same results.
I,m not allowed to select the folder, it is allready ticked off and greyed
out in both above cases.

Why are you using a PST file with Exchange Server?

I'm out of ideas. This procedure has worked for everyone else I've seen.

I wish I could see some repros on this. Without them, I'm afraid an update
will likely be addressing the problem.
