I've tried everything I can find to make my new iphone sync with my outlook contacts; however, everytime I sync it is interrupted and states "microsoft outlook contacts has experienced a problem and has to close". My music syncs fine, but no contacts or calendar. I don't care about the calendar any more but the contact file is essential! Not an Outlook issue. Ask whoever supports your synchronization software. Go to Tools->Other->Advanced->COM Plugins->itunes sync I toggled the checkbox a few times and it seemed to get my iPhone syncing properly - now if only it could group my contacts - I would be set. I found this solution on a Mac-centric forum - I love the "blame the syncing software" comment below. Way to be helpful.
