Not an Outlook issue. Ask whoever supports your synchronization software.

Go to Tools->Other->Advanced->COM Plugins->itunes sync
I toggled the checkbox a few times and it seemed to get my iPhone syncing
properly - now if only it could group my contacts - I would be set.
I found this solution on a Mac-centric forum - I love the "blame the syncing
software" comment below. Way to be helpful.
With Apple and MS technology working together the users need to help bridge
the "bug" gap instead of pointing fingers.

Syncing has always been the purview of the synch software. Outlook has no native ability to synch, it is only the data repository.
