scan from printer into microsoft email

On my printer I chose scan to email. It will not do it in microsoft email it
will only do it in outlook express. One problem is I do not use outlook
express and all my contacts email add. are in microsoft outlook. Using
Microsoft office 2007 small business?

Scan to Email usually means that the printer contains an SMTP client and
will send a copy of a document to a specified address.  What does Outlook
(or Outlook Express) have to do with that?

did you check the printers options (or Help)  to see if it needs configured
for the client?
