Why does outlook 2003 show AUSTRALIAN cell numbers as:
+61 (04) 0160-7515
I have yet to see ANY business card display numbers in such a bizarre format.

Outlook only does what you have told it to. Specify what you told Outlook to
do.

Russ,
Then please explain to me, HOW I tell outlook to do mobile phone numbers
correctly.
This is a fresh install, the modem/phone options are set as "Australia"
so what do I need to change?

Outlook will use standard canonical (international) format if you have set
your Default dialing location correctly for the operating system and if you
configure Outlook's dialing options to automatically add the country code to
local numbers.
