about a year ago our old computer "crapped out", we were using(I think)
windows 2000 at the time. any way my wife gave me the chore of retrieving
her old e-mail contacts in the old computer and putting them into our new
one. so then we added the old computer's hard drive into our new computer
temporarily so that I could get our old music files, pictures, etc. and put
them on our new hard drive.
I surfed and dug and shoveled through a lot of the discussions posted
previously and I think I found several different variations that were close
to my situation but it still did not work for me, or my brain could not
comprehend the instructions.
I found the pst file in the old hard drive and I need instructions, if
possible, on how to retrieve them so that I can cross this chore off my
list...
I keep getting the error message "the different options for opening Contacts
(wab.exe) from the Run command are: blah blah blah..."--
thanks everyone,
Charles

Here are the instructions for accessing the data from an Outlook data file.
They are complicated:
File > Open > Outlook data file...

huh? I guess I forgot to mention that I am using Vista now...to rephrase my
question, is there a way that I can open a .pst file using windows mail on
Vista?

Of course not. You never mentioned you were not using Outlook.
