I am using Outlook 2007 and I keep getting a message that the max contacts
allowed is 1000. I am confused, what is the diff. between contacts and
address books.

Outlook does not have a maximum of 1000 contacts. Hotmail/MSN does however.
Are you using Hotmail/MSN through Outlook?

Gordon addressed the first question. You second question is that the
Outlook Address Book is just a view of those contacts folders you have for
which you've configured the "Show as address book" attribute.

Ok I use Outlook Connector in Outlook so I can view my MSN mail in outlook
and use that email through Outlook. Any ideas how to fix the problem?
Thanks

You can't AFAIK - the 1000 contact limit is a MSN server limit, and can't be
changed. You could use local contacts instead.....

By Local contacts do you mean my contacts in Outlook? That would be fine but
how do I get Outlook to just show those contacts?
Thanks

Right-click on the Contacts folder, choose Properties, click on the Outlook
Addressbook tab and check the box - "Show this folder as an Email
Addressbook" . Then you can start using that set of contacts as well as your
MSN contacts..

No way to fix it. It's an MSN limit.
